For more than a decade, Temple Music and Performing Arts (TMPA) has had as its core mission to bring the beauty and benefits of performing and theatrical arts to as many children as possible. This year alone, due in part to our partnership with Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Our Lady of Perpetual Help School, Saint Theresa Catholic School and Christ Lutheran School, we will produce eight shows focused on children and young teenagers. We have a robust outreach to our youngest performers, preschool- 1st grade, through our Step on Stage program. Additionally, our summer programming serves approximately 160 children with theatrical intensives and a variety of performance opportunities.

WE WANT TO DO MORE

We know that there are countless children in our immediate community that, if given the opportunity, would benefit greatly from a performing arts education. Additionally, we know that there are entire communities of children that have limited or no access to training or performing.

THE TEMPLE THEATER COMPANY, an Arizona non-profit corporation and federal 501(c)(3) tax exempt entity has been formed to address this important need.

OUR MISSION

• Expand training and performance opportunities to children regardless of their ability to pay

• Inspire young artists by exposing them to professional performances, both locally and on Broadway

• Provide scholarships for local camps, workshops, performance fees and master classes

• Bring full, professionally led children’s theater - at no cost - to areas of the valley lacking in these important opportunities

• Secure and maintain the necessary equipment and materials to enhance our community outreach
